Campbelltown City Council has been acknowledged for its transformational approach in the development of the Master Plan for the Reimagining Campbelltown City Centre at the 2020 Greater Sydney Planning Awards.
This achievement recognises the development of the master plan which is said to unlock the full potential of the Campbelltown City Centre.
“Reimagining Campbelltown harnesses the passion, knowledge and aspirations of our community, industry, stakeholders and government agencies to shape the future of the city,” Mayor George Brticevic said.
“This award is an acknowledgement of the work of Council staff and all those people who provided their knowledge and feedback in developing Reimagining,” he said.
“This Plan will help drive Campbelltown’s ongoing transformation into an important urban centre within the Western Parkland City where significant changes are occurring, and new potential is being realised.” the panel said.
“The deep and meaningful stakeholder consultation has been exceptional. It focussed not only on the needs of the community but is also framed to provide a strong foundation for future implementation”.
